Banana boat Sport SPF 50 Sweat Resistant

This time, i tried another product from banana boat. The name is Banana boat Sport SPF 50 Sweat Resistant. Actually this thing comes in 2types, the first one is sweat resistant and the other is water resistant. Since i thought that i dont use it for swimming so i choose the sweat resistant one.

*unfortunately, i cant find the picture that exactly the same with the one that i’ve been used. The one that i’ve used is just like this without the text of “super size” and not “ultra sweatproof” just sweat resistant.*

Review:
The first time, i open this tube i felt disturb by its smell. It stinks a bit. The texture is quite creamy but it easilt to blend. From the ingredients list, i can conclude that this product is not broad spectrum sunscreen because it cant cover all UVA spectrum because it doesnt contain either avobenzone or mexoryl. The worst part is it so greasy and need very long time to sink. So, your face will feel so sticky.. ><" And i dont have enought time for waiting it to sink, so it such a mess when i force to apply the loose powder into it. It looked like i got many island in my face.. (T.T)

Price:
I bought it around Rp 130000,00 for 118ml. I can say that it is quite cheap for that amount.

Will i buy it again?:
No, because it’s too sticky for me and now i used it for my body only.

Review:
My first impression when i open the tube is it smell nice ^^ The texture is quite like cream but once u blend it, it turns more like liquid so u can blend it easily. The texture is very light that makes u wont feel like using sunsreen. The product doesnt give greasy and oily look for u, and u dont have to leave it for a long time in waiting it to dry. So when i used this thing, it really save my time in preparing especially in the morning ^^ From the blog that i’ve read about ingredients in sunscreen, i can say that this product is broad spectrum that can cover both UV A and B rays that is essential for sunscreen. After i wore it for quite a long time, i dont feel any oilness in my skin, which is great so i dont have to dry it with blotting paper. Since it says that very sweat/water resistant so i have a faith that i can stand over my condition that often sweating. So, i can say that this sunscreen is great!

Price:
Unfortunately, this product is not available in Indonesia. I bought it from my friend, and from the drugstore.com it say that the price is $7.99 for 59ml.

Will i buy it again?:
Absolutely! This is the first time i found sunscreen that fits me well which dont leave greasiness and oily look to my face.

Mentholatum Acnes UV Tint SPF 30 PA++

The other sunscreen product that i’ve tried is Mentholatum Acnes UV Tint SPF 30 PA++. The reason that i bought it at first place is because it’s cheap, hahaha.. It is a tinted sunscreen so when u used it it works like a foundation that can cover your face too, it gives beige color.

The one that i bought actually not like this, i bought it in english version i guess. But since i cant get a good picture of it, so i just use this one.

Ingredients:
Isopropyl, Methylphenol 0.1%, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate 0.05%, Vitamin E & B6, Magnesium L-Ascorbyl-2-Phospate, Rosemary extract, Siliconized Micro Particle Titanium 8.6%, Siliconized Micro Particle Zinc Oxide 10%

Review:
My first reaction when i used it is kinda watery not creamy one. So it wont give u sticky n greasy finish. But since it is tinted, u should blend it well or your face will look like zebra (the color is different from one area to another), make sure it has the same color right after u blend it. Dont leave it for a while before u make it sure, because once it less watery u cant blend it anymore. I’ve ever had experience that area around my eye had lighter color than my cheek because im not blend it well and i cant fix it anymore because it already dry… ><”

I dont think that it gives u broad spectrum protection against UV rays. *I’ll give complete explanation about the ingredient later*. But it gives u quite good SPF, which is SPF 30. Its quite good for u who usually work indoor but if u work outdoor i suggest u should use higher SPF. The rate of PA is ++ so its not in the higher rate. So i can say that its not really give u good protection against UV rays. The sunscreen is not waterproof so im not sure it stand over my sweat which is too much.. ><” but it say that it can help u prevent acne and some people have already proof it. But in me, it seems not work at all because i rarely get acnes too *lucky me i guess ^^*

I dont think so because its not give u broad spectrum protection and i feel useless if i used products but cant give the protection that i need

Garnier UV Protect SPF 50 PA+++

Today i want to make some review of the product that i’ve been used recently..  After i read some chat in fashionesedaily about sunscreen, it made me concern that wearing sunblock is important for your skin. Because it can prevent u from wrinkle, aging, etc. So late is better than never, rite? ^^ One of the sunscreen product that i’ve tried is called Garnier UV Protect SPF 50 PA+++. It said that it has broad spectrum that can protect u from either UV A or UV B. The good sunscreen will protect u from both UV rays. When i bought it, it has 2 color shade. I bought it in “white” shade which means it doesn’t give any color at all. The other shade is beige.

Review:
At first, the texture is very sticky but after u blend it through your face, it quite easy to be managed. But dont leave it too long before u blend it, coz it will create white spot to your face. After u blend it well, u will feel your face so sticky n greasy. So usually i leave it for about 30 minutes before i set it up with another products. If u force to set it up right away for example use your loose powder, it wont blend right and wont give smooth finish, so better to leave it for a while till it less sticky. I love this product because it’s not tinted sunscreen so it wont give u such a fake color to your face, hehehe..

This product also have many active ingredient that can cover both UV rays, so it will make u feel safe from UV rays when u using it ^^ *the complete ingredient list will i post later*. Since it has SPF 50 and from what i’ve read that 1SPF can cover 15minutes. So it can cover u for about 50×15 minutes = 12hours 30minutes. Quite a long time, rite? ^^ but, there is terms and condition for that which is without any contamination. This contamination means other products that u’ve also used, sweat, etc. So its better if u re-applied it after period of time. BUt since im so lazy, i usually not re-applied it, hehehe.. but im suggest that u re-applied it ^^. About the PA+++, i haven’t learnt a a lot about it, so i cant talk much. But as far as i know, PA+++ is the higher rate for PA, so i guess it has the best PA too.

The problem is it’s not waterproof, and since i sweat so much i got a feeling that it cant stand over sweat and it will wash away too. There are some people that said using non-waterproof sunscreen can make your skin look darker because it cant stand over water or even sweat so the protection will also wear off.

Price:
I bought it around Rp 60000,00 for 30ml. I think it’s not too expensive for product which has great cover for UV rays, high SPF and PA.

Will i buy it again? :
For a while, im still curious about other brands of sunscreen products so i wont buy it for now on. But it still my favourite sunscreen now.
