Banana boat Sport SPF 50 Sweat Resistant

This time, i tried another product from banana boat. The name is Banana boat Sport SPF 50 Sweat Resistant. Actually this thing comes in 2types, the first one is sweat resistant and the other is water resistant. Since i thought that i dont use it for swimming so i choose the sweat resistant one.

*unfortunately, i cant find the picture that exactly the same with the one that i’ve been used. The one that i’ve used is just like this without the text of “super size” and not “ultra sweatproof” just sweat resistant.*

Review:
The first time, i open this tube i felt disturb by its smell. It stinks a bit. The texture is quite creamy but it easilt to blend. From the ingredients list, i can conclude that this product is not broad spectrum sunscreen because it cant cover all UVA spectrum because it doesnt contain either avobenzone or mexoryl. The worst part is it so greasy and need very long time to sink. So, your face will feel so sticky.. ><" And i dont have enought time for waiting it to sink, so it such a mess when i force to apply the loose powder into it. It looked like i got many island in my face.. (T.T)

Price:
I bought it around Rp 130000,00 for 118ml. I can say that it is quite cheap for that amount.

Will i buy it again?:
No, because it’s too sticky for me and now i used it for my body only.

Review:
My first impression when i open the tube is it smell nice ^^ The texture is quite like cream but once u blend it, it turns more like liquid so u can blend it easily. The texture is very light that makes u wont feel like using sunsreen. The product doesnt give greasy and oily look for u, and u dont have to leave it for a long time in waiting it to dry. So when i used this thing, it really save my time in preparing especially in the morning ^^ From the blog that i’ve read about ingredients in sunscreen, i can say that this product is broad spectrum that can cover both UV A and B rays that is essential for sunscreen. After i wore it for quite a long time, i dont feel any oilness in my skin, which is great so i dont have to dry it with blotting paper. Since it says that very sweat/water resistant so i have a faith that i can stand over my condition that often sweating. So, i can say that this sunscreen is great!

Price:
Unfortunately, this product is not available in Indonesia. I bought it from my friend, and from the drugstore.com it say that the price is $7.99 for 59ml.

Will i buy it again?:
Absolutely! This is the first time i found sunscreen that fits me well which dont leave greasiness and oily look to my face.

Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer

The next item that i also got from the souvenir is Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer from Clinique, i also got it in sample size.

Review:
Since i got in sample size so i cant get the ingredient list. The texture is quite like a liquid but not so watery. When i used it, it really makes my face very very smooth. But i cant get the function in exfoliate my skin. Maybe because i only use it for a few days, lets see it in next week then i will review it again.

Price:
The price for 30ml is HK$ 380. *Because i dont know the price for it in Jakarta, so i just look from the website*

Will i buy it again?:
Since, i havent satisfied in its function in exfoliate my skin and the price that is quite expensive, so i think i wont buy it for now.

Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss

Lately, i won a quiz from fashionesedaily, and i got some souvenir in a pocket bag. One of them is Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in sample size with the shade raspberry.

Review:
Unfortunately, i cant get the ingredient list since i only got it in sample size. My first impression is the size is perfect! i can easily carry it if i wanna go since i dont like carry too many things in my bag. And after i try it on my lips, i cant say more except AWESOME! The texture is not so sticky and so easily applied. The shade makes my lip look healthier with a natural color, quite red but not-so-red. And the one that i cant resist is the moisture. Its name really explain the product cause  it is super moisturing once u applied onto your lip and it not only give the moisture for a while but for a long time. Actually, lately my lip condition is really bad, my lips is chapped and even though  i’ve worn burt’s bee lipbalm but seems not work well. And once i use this gloss, my lips totally great, it doesnt chap anymore. Finally, i found my HG lipgloss ^^. Next time, i would like to try it in apricot shade which more pinky-peach color.

Price:
The price for the product in 15ml is HK$ 120. *i got this information from the web cause i dont know how much  it  will cost in jakarta.

Will i buy it again? :
Absolutely!!  it is the great product i wont ever think twice before i buy it. ^^

Revlon Touch&Glow Extra Moisturizing Face Powder

This time i choose another kind of loose powder since my palgantong powder is runnning out. I try new products from Revlon from touch&glow series. It said that it will give u light and glowy finish. The web said that it came from 2shade, Translucent and Soft Beige. But i bought it in creamy peach shade (maybe different country has different names for the shade) and the other shade is lighter than this one.

It says from the web that:
A sheer , lightweight , loose face powder that helps eliminate shine. Sets make-up with a velvety finish. Prolongs make-up wear and gives a perfectly well groomed appearance to the skin.

Ingredients:
talc, mineral oil, lanolin alcohol, titanium dioxide, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, sodium dehydro-acetate, tetrasodium EDTA, disodium EDTA, fragrance. May contain: red iron oxides, yellow iron oxides, brown iron oxides, black iron oxides, ultramarine oxides.

Review:
My first impression is it’s so much bigger than my palgantong, hahaha.. I bought the bigger one which contains 43g. The smaller one is around 20g. The shade is a little darker that palgantong but it can still fit my skin tone. The texture is so much different with palgantong. The particle is much bigger and not so smooth. If u applied it too much, your face will look so cakey. The one that bothers me is the fragrance. The smell is like talc powder for baby. It says that it can give u glowy look but i dont think so except the glowy look means from the oil of your face, hehehe.. But with the price of the powder, i can say that it’s quite worthed.

I bought it for Rp 54000,00 for 43g, it was a good deal ^^. If im not mistaken the smaller one is around Rp 30000,00 for 20g *i forgot the exact price and weight for the smaller one*

Will i buy it again? :
Nope, because i think since i use this products i got many acnes *maybe because i cant stand over mineral oil*. So i rather choose the other products without mineral oil in it. ^^

Palgantong Theatrical Powder

Now, i want to review powder that i used recently. Before i read some information at fashionesedaily, i often used compact powder because i thought it will be easier to apply but ladies there said that if u use loose powder it will give u more natural look and wont be look cakey. So, i try loose powder instead. The first loose powder that i’ve used is Palgantong theatrical powder. Palgantong is famous brand especially in Korea and it said that many artist there really love this powder. Many people also said that it will give u smooth finish and have good oil control and since the price not so expensive finally i decided to try it.

Unfortunately, i cant find the ingredients for it, i guess it was written in korea languange. This powder come in 2 shade, original beige and light beige. Light beige is more fair than original one. I choose original beige and it fits to my skin tone.

Review:
The first thing i noticed when i receive this powder is so small! hahaha… The size is so small, no wonder it only contain 10g. The container is like ordinary loose powder which have like 2-story. The upper one is for the puff (which i think too small and not so smooth) and the lower part is for the powder. I can say that im so impressed with the powder. The powder is so fine-mile (the particle is so tiny), really smooth so u only have to use a little amount of it to cover all over your face. It gives u smooth finish without being cakey. When i applied the powder, i prefer to use a brush instead because the texture is so fine-mile and it will blend well. I think it’s also fragrance free so i feel comfortable when i used it without being bother with unknown smell.
About the oil control, i think it still depends on the base of your face before u applied the powder. I usually used garnier sunblock first before it, and the oil control is great! From morning till evening, i dont have to retouch and just use blotting paper once, actually it still ok but i dun like to feel oily even just a little. But once, i dun have any time to use sunblock so i just use my moisturizer from hazeline snow before i applied the powder and the result is sucks! hahaha.. My moisturuzer will make your face looks oily after several hours and palgantong cant cover it. I guess its not the fault of the powder since i havent find any powder that can stand over the oily result for my moisturizer ^^

Will i buy it again? :
Even though, it gives a good impression for me but i like to use powder in great amount because it will make me feel that it covers well. 75000 for 10g, i think it still expensive for me, hahaha

Mentholatum Acnes UV Tint SPF 30 PA++

The other sunscreen product that i’ve tried is Mentholatum Acnes UV Tint SPF 30 PA++. The reason that i bought it at first place is because it’s cheap, hahaha.. It is a tinted sunscreen so when u used it it works like a foundation that can cover your face too, it gives beige color.

The one that i bought actually not like this, i bought it in english version i guess. But since i cant get a good picture of it, so i just use this one.

Ingredients:
Isopropyl, Methylphenol 0.1%, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate 0.05%, Vitamin E & B6, Magnesium L-Ascorbyl-2-Phospate, Rosemary extract, Siliconized Micro Particle Titanium 8.6%, Siliconized Micro Particle Zinc Oxide 10%

Review:
My first reaction when i used it is kinda watery not creamy one. So it wont give u sticky n greasy finish. But since it is tinted, u should blend it well or your face will look like zebra (the color is different from one area to another), make sure it has the same color right after u blend it. Dont leave it for a while before u make it sure, because once it less watery u cant blend it anymore. I’ve ever had experience that area around my eye had lighter color than my cheek because im not blend it well and i cant fix it anymore because it already dry… ><”

I dont think that it gives u broad spectrum protection against UV rays. *I’ll give complete explanation about the ingredient later*. But it gives u quite good SPF, which is SPF 30. Its quite good for u who usually work indoor but if u work outdoor i suggest u should use higher SPF. The rate of PA is ++ so its not in the higher rate. So i can say that its not really give u good protection against UV rays. The sunscreen is not waterproof so im not sure it stand over my sweat which is too much.. ><” but it say that it can help u prevent acne and some people have already proof it. But in me, it seems not work at all because i rarely get acnes too *lucky me i guess ^^*

I dont think so because its not give u broad spectrum protection and i feel useless if i used products but cant give the protection that i need

Garnier UV Protect SPF 50 PA+++

Today i want to make some review of the product that i’ve been used recently..  After i read some chat in fashionesedaily about sunscreen, it made me concern that wearing sunblock is important for your skin. Because it can prevent u from wrinkle, aging, etc. So late is better than never, rite? ^^ One of the sunscreen product that i’ve tried is called Garnier UV Protect SPF 50 PA+++. It said that it has broad spectrum that can protect u from either UV A or UV B. The good sunscreen will protect u from both UV rays. When i bought it, it has 2 color shade. I bought it in “white” shade which means it doesn’t give any color at all. The other shade is beige.

Review:
At first, the texture is very sticky but after u blend it through your face, it quite easy to be managed. But dont leave it too long before u blend it, coz it will create white spot to your face. After u blend it well, u will feel your face so sticky n greasy. So usually i leave it for about 30 minutes before i set it up with another products. If u force to set it up right away for example use your loose powder, it wont blend right and wont give smooth finish, so better to leave it for a while till it less sticky. I love this product because it’s not tinted sunscreen so it wont give u such a fake color to your face, hehehe..

This product also have many active ingredient that can cover both UV rays, so it will make u feel safe from UV rays when u using it ^^ *the complete ingredient list will i post later*. Since it has SPF 50 and from what i’ve read that 1SPF can cover 15minutes. So it can cover u for about 50×15 minutes = 12hours 30minutes. Quite a long time, rite? ^^ but, there is terms and condition for that which is without any contamination. This contamination means other products that u’ve also used, sweat, etc. So its better if u re-applied it after period of time. BUt since im so lazy, i usually not re-applied it, hehehe.. but im suggest that u re-applied it ^^. About the PA+++, i haven’t learnt a a lot about it, so i cant talk much. But as far as i know, PA+++ is the higher rate for PA, so i guess it has the best PA too.

The problem is it’s not waterproof, and since i sweat so much i got a feeling that it cant stand over sweat and it will wash away too. There are some people that said using non-waterproof sunscreen can make your skin look darker because it cant stand over water or even sweat so the protection will also wear off.

Price:
I bought it around Rp 60000,00 for 30ml. I think it’s not too expensive for product which has great cover for UV rays, high SPF and PA.

Will i buy it again? :
For a while, im still curious about other brands of sunscreen products so i wont buy it for now on. But it still my favourite sunscreen now.

Flash Project

Its been such a long time since my last post.. it’s all because i got some problem with my notebook so it need to be repaired.. finally, it’s fine now.. ^^ i have nothing to share for now on, so i just want to share some of my project recently. 5 favourite TV series

Today, im gonna review some of my favourite tv series. Actually, i love watching so much but it’s impossible to review all of those series right? ^^

So, i just gonna review my top 5 favourite tv series and for all of that, im gonna give rating for 5/5.

1. Gossip Girl

I can’t say much about it cause im sure most of u have already known about it. The story is about the life of teenager in upper east side. Upper east side is the place for the rich one so no wonder while u watching it, u will see many branded items and makes u drooling to have it (*like i do, hahaha). The main story is about love, friendship, and family just like drama series in common. You can see the lovely friendship between Serena and Blair. Also their love life with Dan or Chuck or Nate. Also the story about their other friends like Vanessa and Jenny. Hahahaha, it’s so complicated to describe it, so just watch it, ok? ^^  I think this tv series is one of the most successful tv series for a while cause so many people watch and love it for both female and male (*i know it cause my male friends also watch and love it  ^^). Now, gossip girl already on the third season, i hope the story will become more interesting.

2. Grey’s Anatomy

For the second place, i will vote for Grey’s Anatomy. This tv series is amazing and i love it so much. Since the genre also drama so the story won’t be far from love, friendship, and family. The main story is about Meredith Grey who took her job as the intern (assistant for doctors) in the hospital. With her relationship with Derek that seems so hard in achieving their happiness and the lovely friendship between her, Christina, Izzie, Alex, and George.  This series tells about how the love relationship that was so romantic, the conflicts in family, and the strong friendship that gonna cheer friends when they’re broken. Now, this series just began its sixth season with and you shouldn’t miss it ^^

3. House MD

For the third place, im gonna vote for House MD. Nothing i can say except crazy, smart, lonely, arrogant doctor (hahahaha). I think that words have describe the main character *Gregory House* very well. He works as the head for diagnostic department in the hospital. Most of his case are the rare case of diseases. So, if you like story that related about medicine, i recommended you to watch this series. Unlike Grey’s Anatomy that mostly about drama, House MD mostly tell about the medicine-related so it’s more scientific. But don’t expect to watch the series that is very serious cause it’s far from that, hahaha. The action of House can make u laugh with his silly but brilliant act. The series now on the sixth season with much more interesting case and story about House himself. So, don’t miss it ^^

4. Criminal Minds

For the fourth place, im gonna vote for Criminal Minds. The series is about the FBI agent in behavioural analysis unit. This unit not focus about catching the criminal but they analyze it with the criminal’s action and use the way criminal’s think so they will know what action will the criminal do and how to catch them. So you wont see some unoriented and full of anger act. Most of them are calm and smart thinker. They can stay calm in such a crisis situation. I’ve learnt a lot from this tv series. I learn that stay calm in any situation is better than rage so u can think clearly. I can say that the writer such a brilliant person cause have so much understanding about human’s behaviour. The series now on the fifth season which the opening episode was so great with unpredicted action ^^

5.Brothers and Sisters

And for the fifth place it goes to Brothers and Sisters. The story mainly about family drama and its conflicts.  The story is full with humor and u can see how much they love each other also the warm of the family that support and care to each other endlessly.  I can say, this series so much reflected about families in common with their conflicts and how they struggle through it even at the worst condition at all. Im so deeply touch by this series and learn to love my family more cause maybe sometimes you won’t aware that your family’s members are the most important persons for you ^^ This series just start its fourth season and i can’t wait to watch it again ^^
